On Saturday and Sunday mornings this is very safe! Just make sure not to stay too long and the central area of Bogota that borders the mountain can get a bit sketchy. In the past, the Monster of Monserrate was active on the mountain. According to his own confession, he might have killed more than 100 women. But the evidence points to 8 to 9 women that are confirmed to be killed by this person who is serving a long prison sentence.
